I could see a SemiRandom program for this game. Events and Quests are great but (so far) they arent very random.
I could see a datafile of interesting events. Then a program could randomly select them to add them to a map.
Later maybe even have it do like Dom3's SemiRand did in looking at the map to try and find a good location for the event.
Even better if later we can use it in conjunction with something that will generate a map to use.

More and more it seems as if this program really needs to exist.
I have tried and tried and tried to make things work with the codes available.
I can create special events. I can make a raging monsters, or mercenary armies, or lost children appear on the map. I can make them independent, or belong to player 0, or player 2. I can make a specific unit, occur at a specific time in the game, at a specific location, belonging to a specific player or AI.
But it takes a ton of code to almost get a random. A random set of mercs, or a random monster. A random unowned farm, or a random empty forest, to land in. A random range it might happen in the game. And even a random player for it to happen to. To even get close to this on a map or in a mod would require really LONG coded events. And they would have to be duplicated for all 8 players.
But it would be much simpler with a large collection of files that could be randomly selected and pasted together.

I have a mod I am going to try and finish for dom 4, once I am done with it (which will take at least a month I think), I can start coding some random event stuff if you are looking for submissions like we had with semirandom.
If we could get several people to help with making mini files, maybe someone could make a program that randomly takes them and adds them to either a map or mod file, that the player could use for each game. Or they could all be compiled into one massive mod if we can't find someone to do the programing.
Is there a way to code events based on the class of a player or only by player number? I haven't done much with COE coding in a while other than some personal tweaks I did a while ago.

Yes both of those are possible
