I dont know about you but my parents taught me. My Mother taught me that to get something for free you say PLEASE. And if you get something for free you definitely should say THANK YOU. (and my Father would half-jokingly add "especially if you ever want to get it again")
That seems to be fading from the Internet. So much is free. People seem to expect it. Even demand it. This forum is for the Conquest of Elysium 3 game. The developers are two guys who have real jobs and families. They create their games as a hobby in their free time. Many developers (dare I say most) would say this is the game, this is the cost, thats it. These guys provide free patches AND upgrades for years after a game is released which might be one reason why those games are played for years.
So I am going to ask you to do something for free.
PLEASE tell Illwinter THANK YOU if you liked the game.
Tell them THANK YOU if you get a free patch.
Add another THANK YOU if the patch made a game change because players requested it.
Definitely tell them THANK YOU if the patch actually includes upgrades and added material to the game that other companies would have had you pay for.
Tell Edi THANK YOU if you found the manuals useful.
Add another THANK YOU if the manual gets updated and included in the new patch download.
And last (definitely least) if you find this free board useful then you know how to pay me for my time and effort.
After a thank you then you might add a please if there is some change or addition you would like. It also helps to mention "fun" or "thematic".
