I will put this here since its more a mappy thing than a modding thing.
I find myself often killing off my leaders because I really want the end game ability to Reveal Map. And with some nations that can he hard to do (like Dwarfs), or playing with Common Cause Allies it wont work.
So... I created a small mod bit that lets me QUIT the game.
event comlocevent 33 33 -1 333 "QUIT" chainevent 6 0 chainevent 6 1 chainevent 6 2 chainevent 6 3 chainevent 6 4 chainevent 6 5 chainevent 6 6 chainevent 6 7 endevent
You could tighten that to only the colors you tend to play. Especially if you want to leave the AI players pieces on the map.
To make it work just rename one of your assistant commanders to the name QUIT and then do a turn. It will "see" a commander of that name and kill off all the players. Then you can view the map.

This is helpful because on the Changes mod all the question mark terrains I added (and thought would change to rare locations) just ended up as question marks on the map.

Yes I saw your changes mod. It's great. It spurred me to start one of my own. That has broken up. I now have one for landscape and map changes which has chances to place items not usually found on a generated map, throws some slight thematic variations into the units you might find guarding various sites, and adds some natural events such as earthquakes and floods which can change the terrains. Also some sites might upgrade or downgrade for various reasons in the middle of the game. I also had to split off one for all the Dom3 events Im trying to add. With a separate one for non-Dom3 events, quests, surprises, mercenaries, and just some surprises in wandering groups that made sense to me. *sigh* its all gotten quite huge and Im still adding to it and tweaking on all of it. I was telling myself I REALLY should release a version of it but then Johan posted the next change to the trigger commands which would make me redo almost all of it.
