Im torn. I like seeing new events. Im not so happy seeing it as a mod.
Do you mind if I steal parts of it for use in a map?

Hmm your "chance for all players to get random items" has an event, but not an endevent. could that cause a problem?
it also does a maybestartevent 5 but doesnt give an event. Is that a 5% chance and then running into the maybechain 70% chance?

Haha, I wanted it to work no matter the map. Steal away. I plan to keep updating it.
There probably should be an endevent for that tag... though when I did some testing the debug log didn't complain and nothing broke... (which is strange if the endevent is indeed missing).
There are also a lot of maybestartevents and onechance events without triggered events--they are simply used to decrease probability of an event occurring (because using 1/100 means things actually happen pretty frequently--1 in 100 turns). I think the average game definitely exceeds 100 turns, and I don't want to all the events to be revealed in a single game. Rather, I'd like there to be some surprises and some *especially* rare occurrences that croup up from time to time.

If I read these right....
chanceevent 1 maybechanceevent 20 (the event)
The chance event 1% will try every turn until it happens and then the maybe chain says a 20% of the event.
But the problem with that is that you have a 1% chance followed by an 80% chance it will die. Because once the chanceevent gets that 1% it wont try again.
Maybe if you switched to using recurringevent or turnevent: Have them run every turn, or 2, or 3 or 5 turns doing some null action (like send a . message to the independents). Then use the maybechainevent to set the percentage. That way it will keep trying

That's right--if I were to use recurring event, then it is possible (though highly unlikely) that the same event would happen twice in a game, which becomes a bit strange and takes away from the unique qualities of some of the events. Once enough events are added to the .c3m there should be an absolutely wide variety of events where you might not encounter certain things until many, many games of playing with the mod turned on.

When I followed the link to desura.com the links for the mod don't work.
