Completed in 3.04 As typical for Fallen Empire games, the AI was not much of a challenge, but neutrals were. Within 3-square distance of my starting location there were ancient forest, graveyard and brigands' lair. On top of that there were Evil Times very early in the game, followed by dispossessed spirits invasion, followed by the Evil Times again. All that kept me occupied quite for a while On the positive side, there was en ancient temple nearby, guarded only by an Unknown Priest and a couple of scorpions. And conquering it gave me a Whispering Skull. Once I cleaned my part of the continent and got my Liches it was practically over. One of the funniest moments of the game was when my Lich attacked an Ancient Temple guarded by a Echidna with a full complement of her spawn. My force was mostly crossbowmen with a longdead screen and a freshly-summoned Abomination. At the and of the battle the only front-line survivor was a well-fed Abomination, with 400+ hp from incorporation of tens of regenerating monsters.

@vladicus. Thanks. To AI's credit I must say it handled that Veil breakage thing better than in my anti-progress game. Score graphs show steady growth for all AI players during that period. And it was the first time I've seen an Elder AI Druid with some decent summons. Still, with all that evil spawn crawling around the map, all AI players were expanding very slowly.

Did this in 3.04 in 4 years.
Senator was commander-killed, Druid also commander-killed, finally Baron commander-killed. The Necro has the strongest early game of any class due to the many, many dead he can raise but the AI didn't seem to care. After the senator found an iron mine near me he kept coming for it and I killed his two starting commanders in year 1. I found 1 town before that so I had enough dead raised by my apprentice.
After that the druid and baron tried to re-capture the starting town of the senator. Unfortunately the way lead through my territory and they both came one-by-one and died. I needed only crossbowmen and raised dead.

Did this with version 3.09 in 7 years. Mostly by luck and figuring out where I was on the map so I could drive straight at the enemy catching them early. I had one really fun game that lasted long enough to go thru multiple upgrades of my Necromancer. But after the game when I checked the variables again before posting the win I realized that I had forgotten to ally the enemy. WOW. So much of this game depends on random variables! The one where I did not ally them lasted forever, and this one with them allied I lucked out quick. But still, thanks for a fun time.

Done on 3.15 a while ago
Had a bit of an unfortunate starting position but after the raising got going, it was a cakewalk - as almost always with the necro... kinda hope the trade nerf will weaken all those summoning races a little bit

Bring Out Your Dead should maybe be upgraded so that the Voice of El is included as an AI. It would fit into the scenario nicely and would be the biggest counter to the Necromancer.
I also wonder why they are not Common and Clustered. But I guess that is because its still one of the lower challenges.

Complete on v3.17 as my first time playing necromancer, but it was still pretty straightforward. I started south-central on the map, with the Druid just northeast of me near what would turn out to be 4 old battlefields, an old castle, and an ancient temple. I took out the Druid himself just after raising at the first battlefield, and killed his final leader as his hut a few turns later in year 3. Due to all the good stuff around, his hut became my major base of operations for the rest of the game.
Meanwhile, the Baron sent repeated leaders into my territory to try to capture the 3 cities I had managed to find. Using the battlefields to raise as they were discovered and summoning my first legion, I dispatched leader after leader of the Barons until there were no more by mid year 4. Then it was just me versus the Knight level Senator. Over the next years, I encountered and consumed only a few small packs of his, but the biggest stack was around 45 units. Since I had a few 80 to 120 stacks by that point, it was only a matter of time if I continued to expand while I searched for him. Finally, after taking 2/3s of the map, I found him hiding in the northwest corner and subsumed the last of his leaders at the start of year 14. Long live the dead!

Finished in game version 3.18. Baron went first, closely followed by Senator and then the Druid eventually fell.
Knowing I tend to over-expand too soon, I tried to keep close to home, especially since I was able to find a second graveyard and a market village by turn 4, giving me 7 hand income. An ancient temple was also nearby, though I never sought lichdom, though my starting necromancer did become grand.
I closed the game too soon to tell exactly how long it took. I think 4 or 5 winters went by though. Ironically, I made a bunch of minor summons right before the last fight with the Druid and finally got ghouls with my very last summons of the game.
My win came from killing armies. I did not see an enemy keep for the duration of the game. Looking at the revealed map, I only saw about a quarter of the land.
It took me four or five tries to get this one done.
